invoices

i have an estimate.

i create invoice from the estimate.

QBO asks how i want to bill--

   1. total amount

   2. percentage of each line

   3. custom line amounts

i have tried all 3 options and always get...

""Something's not quite right
We're sorry. This feature is not included in your QuickBooks Online Simple Start subscription.""

I assume this "feature" is trying to SAVE THE INVOICE so i can send it.
what subscription package do i need to save my work??

(I WISH THEY SOLD A PACKAGE THAT WAS LABELED
"QUICKBOOKS FOR WORKING PEOPLE")

Re: invoices

The Simple Start version is capable of converting estimates to invoices, Clayco.

Let's check if a full cache causes this error.

A cache store your browsing data to reload the web pages you've visited faster. If it's full, it can cause slowness or unusual behavior in the software.

Please open a private browser, log in to QuickBooks, and convert your estimate. It it works fine, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. However, if the same thing happens, you can try other browsers to isolate the case.

Please let us know how it goes so we can help you further.

Re: invoices

Hi Jess.

Thanks for the reply.

As usual with most people nowadays, you have not read the issue correctly.

QBO IS converting the estimate to an invoice.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT WONT LET ME SAVE IT.

I tried to the incognito window.  Did not work.  I had to manually cut and paste everything into a new invoice.

Wayyyyyyyyy to much effort here folks.  26 (and counting) hours have passed since I tried to simply email an invoice.  Remind me again why I pay for this service....

Re: invoices

Thanks for getting back to us, Clayco.

It's best if one of our Phone or Chat agents can see your QuickBooks company to investigate this further. They have more tools for that.

  1. Click on ?Help and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter a short details of this scenario and click on Continue.
  3. Choose from Start Messaging or Request for a callback.

In the meantime, you can create an invoice and manually enter the items, so you can send it to your clients.

We're just around if you have other questions.
