Merchant Account User set up

I am trying to set up a user for mobile payments with a card reader.  I have set up his account twice with two different emails and we keep getting the same error.  When he tries to sign into the GoPayments app, we get the following error -

Sign in failed.  Looks like we can't sign you in right  now.  Please try again soon.

Does anyone know what the issue is?

Merchant Account User set up

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @VasoB. I'm here to provide steps to ensure your user can log in to the GoPayments app.

You can uninstall and reinstall the app to refresh and have a clean slate. Then, for Apple devices go to the Apple App Store to reinstall and to the Google Play Store for Android devices. Once done, update also your mobile device to the most recent operating system version to prevent errors when accessing apps.

Here's how to check for updates on a supported Android device:

  1. Tap the Home key, then select the Menu button.
  2. Touch the screen or use the navigator wheel to select the Settings option.
  3. Click the About or About Phone option that is found at the bottom of the list.
  4. Then, select the System Updates option. This will look for any new Android updates. If an update is available, your device will download and install it.

For a supported Apple device, here's how you can check an update.

  1. Head to Settings. Make sure your device is connected to a power source. Wi-Fi connection is recommended.
  2. Click General.
  3. Select Software Update.
  4. The iOS will automatically check for available updates. Available updates download automatically if your device is connected to Wi-Fi and a power source.

When finished, ask the user to log in again. If the same thing happens, you can delete the user and re-add him

However, if the issue persists, I'd recommend reaching out to our Payments support team to further help you fix the error.

In case you want to change a user's payment permissions, you can visit this article for the detailed instructions: Edit or change users' payment permissions.
