How can I stop my merchant account monthly payment?

Hello there, @circa. Welcome to QuickBooks Community! 


These are the steps that guide you to stop your merchant account monthly payment:


  1. Log in to the Merchant Service Center portal as an admin user.
  2. In the Profile tab, select Account Profile.
  3. Click Close Account.
  4. In the Reason for closing dropdown, select a reason, and add any comments.
  5. Once done, click Submit.


If you don't see the Close Account option, you'll need to reach out to our Payment Support Team. They'll help you get this option or find another way to get this through. Here's how:


  1. Go to this link: QuickBooks Desktop with Payments.
  2. Enter your full name and email address.
  3. Then, follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process.


Once we process your request, you'll receive an email that confirms your QuickBooks Payments account is closed. Expect to get the email within one business day. 


Note: You can still access the Merchant Service Center to view or download reports, statements, and tax forms for up to 12 months.
