Payment held for review - very first, and very small.
I just set up quickbook payments to work with my quickbooks account invoicing. I did a test charge of $5.00 to my own credit card using a different personal email from my business email. I sent the invoice, it showed up, hit the Pay Online button, entered info, all seemed to work.
Until I got an email from intuit containing this:
"There's a delay on one or more of your transactions." "We saw some transactions we need to check out before sending to your bank." "We need to make sure everything looks good on our end. That can take a bit of time. So please allow up to 6 business days to see it in your account"
It then lists the valid 5.00 transaction I just made. I logged into merchant services for intuit, and the payment passed all validation.
This does not leave me with a good feeling. I'm currently using paypal, and if I transfer before 7 pm EST its in my bank the next morning. Why on earth would intuit need to hold a 5.00 charge for 6 days? And is there any danger of a charge from a customer not going through? It seems they are holding it because they think something may be wrong with it. This also makes me a bit uneasy since it was the first charge and it was for such a low amount.. typical bills in my business are 150.00 -200.00. If they decide that any of those need to be held its going to be a constant pain in the neck. Thanks for any insight.
