Hello there, @jjpoolandbeach.

Thank you for joining the Community today. I'm here to help you get this issue sorted out so the Pay button will show up on your invoices.

To start, let's verify if your online payment preference is turned on:

  1. Go to the Edit menu.
  2. Choose Preferences from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Payments from the list.
  4. Go to the Company Preferences tab.
  5. In the Online Payments section, make sure all the payment methods you'd like to use are checked.
  6. Click OK.

After that, let's make sure that the QuickBooks account is linked to your Merchant account.

Let me show you how:

  1. At the top menu, select Customers.
  2. Select Credit Card Processing Activities.
  3. Select Merchant Service Center

However, if you are sending out an E-Invoice for the first time, you need to log in to your Merchant account for the pay button to appear. Make sure to sign in with the Master Admin login.

If you get the same result, I recommend giving our Merchant Support a call. They have the tools to further assist with determining the details on what's causing the issue.

For future reference about E-invoicing, you can check this article: Create invoices with payment link.

Don't hesitate to let me know if you have other questions about the pay button in the online invoice payments. I'm always here to lend a hand. Have a lovely day!

Thanks for your response.  I ended up contacting support.  They had to remotely check my settings and in the end it was a linking problem.  They reset the link and the Pay button final appeared.

Thank you for your response.  I contacted Support and it was determined that it was a linking of accounts problem.  They reset the link and the pay button appeared.  Thank you again

Can you remove the message that says if you are unsure how to pay without accepting payment online and linking the bank account?

Thank you for joining the thread, @lrichards.

Let me share some information about the message you're getting.

Usually, this is designed by QuickBooks when you have payment transactions or you're processing payments. This serves as your guide or suggestive steps if you wish to link or connect your bank account to QuickBooks. I feel the desire of taking the message out, however, we currently don't have the option to remove this from your account.

I want you to know that our engineers are continuing to develop QuickBooks to deliver the best experiences to all of our customers. Hopefully, they can consider your request in the future updates. For now, you can visit our blog to stay current with the latest QuickBooks news and updates.

My credit card number has recently changed.  I need to know how to change the information that pays for my Intuit Payroll Desktop software / support.

Thank you

I got you covered, bbd1263.

Updating your credit card information in QuickBooks can be done through the Account Maintenance page. Only the current billing contact can update this information.

To update your billing information, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Employees.
  2. Choose My Payroll Service.
  3. Click Account/Billing Information.
  4. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
  5. Once signed in, go to Billing Details. If you see the current credit card information, you are the billing contact of your company. Select the Edit link to update your billing information.

If you want to upgrade your QuickBooks Payroll, you can check out this article: Change Payroll Service.

I'll be right here if you have other questions about billing in QuickBooks.
