PayPal Payments sporadically not available for some customers.

I've been getting multiple complaints from customers that they no longer see paypal as an option when they go to pay an invoice.  I tested by sending one to myself and sure enough, it's not there for me.  Yet i have customers able to pay with this method just fine (including one today).

 

I called Quickbooks support, we walked through somethings including the test invoice.   In the end they claimed the reason it's starting not to show up is because they are in the process of removing it as a payment option.   I asked for any webpage where i could point my customers to and they claim they couldn't provide.   And yet there are countless active pages touting the integration.   

 

I just tried going to Pay Now on my test invoice and now the paypal option is there.

Anyone have any confirmation / something concrete i can pass to customers as this sure sounds fishy.

The feature is still in the beta program and we’re collecting customers’ feedback before it's released. You may want to consider contacting our Merchant Services Team to see if they can add your customers to the program.

I'm sorry but this answer doesn't make sense.    I have customers who have used this in months/years past dating back to at 2017.   Only recently have they failed to see the option and its sporadic.  In some cases, if they go back in later in the same day , it shows up (which is what happened in my test case with a test invoice to myself)

 

That can't be intended behavior (whether the feature is still in beta or not).  Many of these customers have been paying with the paypal option for well over a year.   I need a valid explanation why they can use it sometimes and not others.

I'm finding that it's an issue for Mobile users. If they open the invoice on their desktop there seems to be no issues? Just a thought. VERY frustrating.
