Good morning, As in the past years, my subscription fee is automatically paid by my credit card. It always worked fine. This time there is a message on my desktop to renew. I went to my account as well as my credit card and its paid, as usual. My payroll isn't working properly....Help

Hello, @Rick735156.

 

First, let's review the status of your payroll to ensure it's active from your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Select My Payroll Service from the Employees tab.
  2. Click on Manage Service Key.
  3. Check the status of your subscription under the QuickBooks Service Keys window.

 

If it's showing as active and QuickBooks doesn't calculate taxes correctly when running payroll, you need to update your payroll tax table to the latest release.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks, then select Employees at the top menu bar.
  2. Click on Get Payroll Updates.
  3. Tap the radio button beside Download entire payroll update.
  4. Hit the Update button.

Once completed, try running payroll and check if it's now working properly. If you're getting the same problem, I suggest reaching out to our Support Team so a representative can take a look into this more closely and check the status of your subscription. I did all of that before...and just now; no change. I checked my credit card and it was charged for the renewal....

Hi there, @Rick735156,

 

This error occurs when a backup copy of a company file was restored with outdated direct deposit payrolls. We can get this resolved by going to the Send Usage Data from the Employees center.

 

Here’s how:

1. Click on the Employees menu.

2. Choose My Payroll Service.

3. Click on Send Usage Data.

If your payroll isn't working properly again, you may get in touch with our QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Support to check your account securely. For the supports contact information:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. In the Have a Question window, click Contact us at the bottom portion of the screen.
  4. Click Search for something else.
  5. Type in a keyword about your concern.
  6. Hit Search.
  7. Click on Start a Message.
