I see in Point of sale (version 18) I can set a flag to not share a customer with Quickbooks. I do not see the reverse option in Quickbooks.
I have two separate customer bases for the same company. Easiest explanation -- One set is walk in customers other set is online/phone customers but they both purchase from same company.
Don't need online customers clogging up the point of sales list.
Welcome to QuickBooks Community, stickgc.
I'm here to share a few insights on how Point of Sale (POS) works with the customer list.
Currently, we're unable to separate the list of customers in QuickBooks POS. However, this is a good recommendation. Please let our engineers know this is something you need by sending feedback.
You can share your suggestions on how we can improve QuickBooks POS by following these steps:
I'm including some helpful video tutorials that help with navigating QuickBooks POS: POS Video Tutorials.
Let me know if you have other questions. I'll be here if you need me.
Let me try to explain this again --
In Quickbook POS you have the choice to share with Quickbooks Accounting Software
In Quickbooks accounting software you do not have that choice.
I will put in the recommendation BUT I would think it is a no brainer from a development standpoint to have the same type of functionality in both pieces of software.
Due to the way customer data is shared between the programs, the only way to prevent a customer from being sent from QB to POS is to make the customer inactive.
The program was designed so that active customers and vendors will sync, inactive will not.
