Hello there, @bveftreas.

You can view the existing rule and make some modifications on it. I can guide you on how to it.

  1. Go to the Transactions or Banking menu.
  2. Choose the Rules tab.
  3. Locate the rule that was created by the previous bookkeeper.
  4. From the Actions column, click the Edit link.
  5. Click the Add a condition link
  6. Add the exceptions that you want.
  7. Click the Save button.

You can also delete and recreate the rule. For more detailed steps, you can read through this article: Setup bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Also, I've added these articles as an additional reference in managing your downloaded transactions:

Keep me posted if you have other questions about tracking your PayPal transactions. I'm just a few clicks away.

I want to make sure you're concerns are addressed., @kirktransportllc.

Were you able to update the categorization rules set up by the previous bookkeeper using the steps I've provided above?

If you further questions about the process, don’t hesitate to post a comment below. I’ll get back to answer them for you. Have a great day ahead.
