Quickbook desktop update problem

Hi all. I noticed that after my last update on quickbooks desktop. The automatic matching for online transactions (from merchant deposit services to quickbooks) started to become inconsistent.   Usually it automatically matches online transactions by batch, but now it's not consistent. And I have to manually match them and its just a pain. This wasnt a problem before after the update. I thought it would resolve by itself but it didnt. This problem is been goin on for a month. I tried reupdating it but the problem is still the same. I called support but none of them fixed it. I wasted so much time trying to fix the problem. Anyone here had the same issue?

Quickbook desktop update problem

Hi there, @Jacob Q. I've got some information and troubleshooting steps to share with you.

Have you installed the QuickBooks Tool Hub in your computer? This tool can be used to deal with the network problems, company file damage, performance issues, etc. To single out this issue, let's run the Quick Fix my Program tool from the Tool Hub to end QuickBooks processes running in the background.

Please follow these steps to perform a mini repair on your software:

  1. Close your QuickBooks.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub file.
  3. Open the QuickBookstoolhub.exe file. It gets saved in the download folder.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

From there, let's run the Quick Fix my Program tool from the Tool Hub.

  1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

You can also create bank rules in QuickBooks Desktop to help automatically categorize transactions for you.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select Bank Feeds and then Bank Feeds Center.
  3. Select Rules, then select Add Rule.
  4. Add a Rule Name, then select if it’s Money In or Money Out or Both.
  5. Add Conditions and if the rule is for Any or All of the conditions for descriptionmemo, and amount.
  6. If your class tracking is enabled, add values for PayeeAccount, and Class.
  7. For Money Out rules, you can also assign a Customer:Job
  8. Add the conditions for the rule, then when you’re done select Save.

YES! Mine started not working back in December 2021 after an update I did with QB over the phone. I have been in contact with customer service 8-times since and no solution (it is now April 28, 2022). Multiple CSRs had me go through multiple steps, including uninstalling and reinstalling, Quickbooks tool hub -- nothing works. Although, a few CSRs had me do a dummy account and it worked find. Anyway, my situation, as I have been told ( since the end of February 2022) and again, the last few times is that it has been escalated to the software engineers. They are aware of the situation as many others are affected by this, too. That they will notify me when a solution is available. I'm beginning to think they have written me off.
