Quickbooks POS freezes right after a debit transaction is authorized,

Quickbooks POS 12.0 freezes right after a debit transaction is authorized, and right before the print receipt dialog comes up. The customer is charged. however my merchant account never receives the money . This all Started when we finally received a pin pad that actually took the chip. Anyone else having this problem? Losses in the hundreds.
