Can I set the Convenience Fee to only charge for credit card payments? I don't want to charge the fee for ACH payments. Thanks.

Re: Can I set the Convenience Fee to only charge for credit card payments? I don't want to charge...

Hi, sean18.

I'm here to guide you to the right support so you can get the help you need with setting up the Convenience Fee for credit card payments.

If you're using Merchant Service, the convenience fee will automatically charge depending on the payment terms you've subscribed. To change it to credit card payments, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Merchant Support Team. They have additional tools to pull up your account in a secure environment and process your request.

You can contact our merchant support through this link: Contact Payments Support

For your reference, you may want to check this article to learn how to accept a credit or debit card payment in QuickBooks Online: Process a credit card payment in QuickBooks Online

Feel free to post again if you have any other questions about merchant transactions. I'll be around to help. Have a good day!

I have this same question, and it doesn't seem like the author really got a clear answer. How can we offer customers an option to pay via CC with a fee, but via ACH for no fee?

Thanks for joining this thread, jba.

The convenience fee is automatically charged every time you do a credit card or ACH bank transfers in QuickBooks Payments. Thus, we're unable to turn this off.
