Can someone help me with my bank deposits. When i run the Deposit Detail, all my deposits are there but the dashboard deposit doesn't match when I've received the payment and it's matched from the bank. What am i doing wrong? I'm using desktop QB

I'm here to take care of your bank deposits concern, @cindyram72.

By dashboard deposit, do you mean the ones on the Company snapshot section? If so, those are the money that you're about to deposit after recording your payments.

To ensure they match what's showing on the Banking page, let's review and record them accordingly.

Here's how to review your bank deposits on the Company snapshot section:

  1. Click the Company menu, and then choose Company snapshot.
  2. Select the Payments tab, and then go to the Payments Reminders section.
  3. When you're ready, you can create bank deposits as needed.

Also, please make sure to select the right Dates filter when running the Deposit Detail report. This way, you can match its information and your banking details.

You'll want to add and match your transactions to prevent duplicates and ensure they go to the right accounts.

Once everything is fine, you can perform your normal reconciliation. This helps make sure your records are correct.

If you mean another thing, you can leave a reply or provide a screenshot below so I can assist you further.

I don't have that option to click on what you sent me. My screen is totally different. I've attached a screenshot of my dashboard. Shouldn't that deposit amount match what has been deposited?

Thanks for getting back to us here, @cindyram72.

To verify, are you looking at the online banking deposits on your dashboard? If so, you'll want to make sure you have the same date as what's on your deposit detail report.

To check the date:

  1. In the deposit detail report, tap the Dates column.
  2. Edit the date and make sure that it's the same date on your online banking transactions.
  3. Click Refresh.

Additionally, here's a guide that'll help with matching downloaded transactions: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you need help with other tasks in QBDT, you can browse for specific topics here and look for responses that fit your concern.

Keep me posted if you're referring to something else or if you have other questions. I'm more than willing to assist you every step of the way.
