I have been a Quickbooks customer for my entire business career of almost 20 years but I am new to Quickbooks Payments. We've recently switched to using the GoPayment app as our POS and I am shocked to see that the login requires administrative privileges. It SHOULDN'T take a rocket scientist to see the flaw in this policy but I'll explain it anyways.
Since it logs me out at least a couple times a week, I either have to be present in my business 100% of the time or give my username and password to my employees. They can then login to my QBO account and see EVERYTHING! Not cool Intuit, Not cool!!!
There's an option in your Online Service Center to add a user, idahoipilot.
You'll need to select the Associate in the Mobile Payments Role to assign the mobile payments role level only. This access won't let the user see the whole account.
Please check out this article for the steps: Add a User To Your Mobile Payments Account.

Hello, all of the support lines are closed. I received the new card readers for GoPayment, and indeed the Go Payment app is now asking for the administrator level single sign-on for all of Intuit vs. the individual tech ids (as associates) I have in my Merchant Center. How can we get back to the original Go Payment users and passwords we used to have?
Also, when I signed in at my husbands phone, (at high Intuit level) it allows me to choose a company but then says I don't have access to this company (associate constraint) but we can't get logged in to Go Payment. I am going to try to invite new user and see if it clears up??? help this is hard and I'm pretty good at this usually.
Hello there, kk777.
You should have the option to choose a role. I suggest getting in touch with our gopayments support once their department is open. An agent can take a better look at this. Here's how:
Of course, you're always welcome to post anytime in the Community.
Hi. The answer to this was actually a bit silly. The appearance of all logos on the Go Payment app sign in (Android) made this look like it was asking for the ADMIN single sign on. In fact, it was only looking for the individual tech/password combination with lower privileges. My new worry is now my new post from today 6.25.... if Google removes access from Quickbooks Desktop then all of these interfacing apps that use my business gmail (to send receipts or e invoice) will cease to work.
Hello there, kk777,
We are taking the necessary steps to make sure QuickBooks stays in compliance with Google's security standards.
You can set up Gmail to use the Enhanced Security option within QuickBooks' Webmail setup.
I also recommend contacting us so you can receive email notifications about any updates on this.
