Join nowI have installed my contact-less Bluetooth GoPayment card reader for transactions during the COVID-19 quarantine. We have it set up outside our business door.
Now:
1. Can I use it directly with POS 12.0 Pro or QB Financial desktop Premier Retail Edition 2018 (each has a separate merchant account) via either Bluetooth from my PC or usb cable to outside our door? I have, in the past used the swipe-only gray reader via usb cable directly into QBF desktop
2. If I have to use the GoPayment app, how do I get the credit card transaction to be attributed to the correct customer? It came over as "other customer" and required a GJ to move it.

Hello there, YDP Norma.
We can look into your Bluetooth card reader features and its compatibility to QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale. For more details, you can check out this article: QB21 and QB31 Bluetooth card reader features and compatibility.
The GoPayment App is for money transaction and we're unable to link it to a customer's transaction since QuickBooks and Gopayment isn't directly integrated. We can associate these transactions manually once they are been downloaded.
Feel free to get back to me if you need more help. Take care!
Go Payment records Credit Card payment as "Other Customer."
I found that if I intercept a Go Payment deposit in the "Record Merchant Service Deposits" before it's recorded, I can change the customer name to the correct one.
