How do I order a swiper for credit card to use with my phone

Hi @cmsgfin,

Thanks for posting in the Community. I'd be glad to help you with ordering a swiper for credit cards to use with your phone.

There are multiple ways to order a GoPayment card reader, including from within the GoPayment app and the Merchant Service Center. The following article contains additional information about these options and the required steps: Order a GoPayment Card Reader.

For further insight into Payments, including how it integrates with QuickBooks Online, I recommend the following link: QuickBooks Payments.

That should be it. I believe these resources will help you to order a swiper for credit cards.

Let me know if you need anything else by posting below. Have a lovely day.

How do I order a swiper for credit card to use with my phone

Absolutely unhappy with this reader, and apparently quick-books doesn't care to offer a reader that works with quickbooks online. So i ordered this useless waste of time. I try to hook it up to my computer and no go. I spoke with a rep and i specifically asked him if the go payment was compatible with surface pro. He said yes as long as it has blutooth. Great. send it over. Nope, it is not compatible. I spent hours trying to get it to work. So here the catch. Sure it works with qbo..... you have to long on to quickbooks online and build your invoice. then you have to log on to quickbooks online on your phone to accept payment. Well I did that, and the invoice doesnt move over in real time. What does that mean? means you could be waiting for mins to get the invoice to appear on your phone to take payment. Now, you can take payment with the gopayment app, but if you keep invoices in order to track customers and purchases. GOOD LUCK. You might as well stay with square or paypal. You have to manually reconcile and match up the transactions and deposit, It actually adds more work. WHY DOES QBO HAVE A SWIPE OPTION IF YOU DONT OFFER A SWIPER FOR IT? WILL THERE BE A SWIPER COMPATIBLE WITH QBO?

Does the swiper work with our quickbooks or do you have to reconcile the transaction?

Hello there, @gothamflorist.

The swiper will work with QuickBooks Online through your mobile phone if you've ordered it from our Merchant service.

To know how to install the swiper from QuickBooks GoPayment, check out this article: Set up a card reader for QuickBooks GoPayment.

Also, you'll need to reconcile the accumulated transactions in QuickBooks Online after a month. To know more about this, here's an article that will give you the detailed steps: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

You may consider checking our reference page and check any similar topics for your future task: Help Articles.

I'll be here if you have other questions, let me know in the comment section. I'd be happy to help. Take care.
