You can update the check details to the correct date to when the service is perform. Then, click on the Print icon. If the check is showing an incorrect date, it might be a check that cleared from your bank. We won't be able to change its date though.

If you mean that the check date changed automatically when you printed it, then it sounds like you have the option to change the check date to the current date turned on.
To turn it off, go to Edit | Preferences | Checking | Company Preferences and then uncheck the "Change check date when non-cleared check is printed"
As far as the existing check, you can of course change the date back to 2/28 and then you can print it again if desired with that date.

We? In what case can the user not change the check date? I think they can change it if they want to. QB is changing it, so why can't the user?
