QBO

I accepted a Debit Card payment from a customer.  It said that it is paid however the funds never hit our account and its been 28 days.  Where is the payment?

Thanks for bringing this up in the QuickBooks Community page. Allow me to share some insights about the deposit speed of customer payments in QuickBooks.

 

Normally, QuickBooks Payments deposit your funds within five business days after your first payment. Your first deposits take a bit longer while they set up your merchant account. Once done, your payments will deposit quicker, typically within two business days.

 

You can check the status of your processed payments in the Merchant Service Center. This way, we can identify the cause of the delay.

 

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. From the homepage, click Activities & Reports and then Deposits.
  3. Select the date range in the Dates field.
  4. Click Search.

 

This shows all your daily deposits, when we put them in your bank account, and the totals. Successful deposits will show as Funded in the Status column. 

 

If there's an issue with a deposit, you'll see Withheld or Batch Deposit Returned. Simply click the arrow ▼ in the Fee column to review its details. You'll get an email from us with steps to fix the issue.

 

In case the payment status showed that we deposited the payments, it means your money is on its way. Keep in mind that some banks hold onto funds after we deposit them. At this point, you'll need to work with them if they require additional steps.

Thank you so much for checking in.  I understood your reply however it isnt resolved.  The payment isnt showing anywhere...in our bank, nor in transaction for that day or any days following it.  We accepted the payment, the invoice says paid and we sent a copy of the invoice saying paid and a $0 balance to the customer.  I dont know if the transaction wasnt processed or what.  Its very confusing....when I click on the invoice it says paid the date and Mastercard but not the last for 4 digits.  Its almost like its a mystery payment.  Not sure what else to do but call the customer and ask for another payment.
