We have a restaurant and receive shipments with invoices daily. I did a trial of QBO so I could try the mobile app to take a photo of the invoice at the restaurant and enter it right away. We have payment terms with our vendors, so I do not want to enter it as an expense, but that is the only option I saw in the mobile version.
Is there a way to process a Bill with a picture of it from the mobile app?
You're right, Kevin. At this time, you can only use the Expense feature to record the bills in the mobile app.
To do this task, you can use the web version of QBO. Simply open a browser like Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Mozilla Firefox, and log in to your QBO account. Then, create a bill and attach the photo of the invoice.
I'd encourage you to send this suggestion to our developers. Most of the updates we roll out are from the feedback we receive from other users. Being able to create bills in the mobile app might get a chance of being added in an update soon. You can share your thoughts on our feedback site: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com/.
I'll be right here if you need anything else. Thanks.
If you sign up for Bill Pay, I read that not only can you process a Bill with a picture, it can "read" the vendor's invoice and suggest the data entry. It must work with a cell phone because that's where the camera is.
It's called "Incoming Bills (beta)" but the link does not work
You can also just take the picture with the phone, and upload it to Attachments in QBO with the mobile app, and record the Bill later from a desktop
Allow me to join this conversation and clear things up for you by sharing some insight about the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app.
At this time, the mobile app for QBO has fewer features compared to using a browser. When you need to enter a bill transaction but you don't have access to a computer, you can use your phone and open its browser. This way you can still be mobile and have all features available on a laptop or a computer.
I understand that it's only a workaround for now, that's why I've taken note of your feedback regarding this.
Mobile app features differ from one kind of phone model to another. You can open this article to see which model has which feature available: Compare mobile app features.
Please feel free to drop your questions below. I'll make sure to get back to you.
This is not a viable option since the quickbooks online view on a mobile phone is not mobile ready. I literally cannot scroll across the screen to enter a price.
HOW ON EARTH DOES A COMPANY WITH SO MANY EMPLOYEES AND SUCH A HUGE REVENUE NOT HAVE A DEVICE AGNOSTIC WEBSITE? ITS 2019. How on earth do you have a mobile app that doesnt record a bill. THE MOST BASIC BOOKKEEPING FUNCTION THAT EVERY SINGLE USER NEEDS AND WANTS.
This is insane.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feedback with us, @danlieberman,
I want you to know that I hear you, and I agree how helpful it is to have the bill feature in the QuickBooks Online Mobile App. Our developers are constantly working to meet our customer's needs, and are taking note of every feedback we forward to them.
We currently don't have the information on the time it takes for them to implement this function on our mobile applications. What's good about QuickBooks is it rolls out an update without you downloading it manually. Email notifications are also rolled out in batches to all QBO users.
In the meantime, you can open a browser on your phone or computer, then log in to your QBO account. Then, create a bill from there. Here's how:

It makes absolutely no sense that you can’t view bills and payments on the mobile app. What’s even the point of an app if it doesn’t have a very basic and important function of the program.
I wanted to voice my dissatisfaction and confusion on the inability to enter/view/pay bills on the mobile app. It’s literally not bookkeeping software if you can’t do that and completely disingenuous to the QuickBooks name.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this.
QuickBooks Mobile App is a simplified version of the QuickBooks Application. That way, recording vendor's transactions will be seamless. Having these abilities available in the mobile app would be a great option. As an institution with a massive road-map, we are doing our best to give you the best customer experience.
For now, I suggest visiting our blog site and be updated with our current news and innovations. Your patience while this preference is being assessed is much appreciated.

The QBO app is useless. Not only can you not enter bills, the other vendor activity is not even updated. Can't view latest transactions, search transactions or even VIEW a bill.
Please add this feature, your competitors have it.
I appreciate your input from every angle, @sahilk.
I understand how the workflow you're looking for is beneficial to your business. Right now, this feature is still unavailable. To ensure your voice is heard, I can pass along another feature request on my end. For the time being, you can visit our blog and sign up to our Newsletter. This way, you’ll receive email updates about changes in the product. Our developers get inspiration from customers, so your voice makes a huge impact.
On the other hand, if there are missing transactions, I'd recommend clearing its cache. Here's how:
Once done, close and reopen your QuickBooks app to check if it works.

Agreed. Would love to see this added as soon as possible. It's very surprising that this isn't already an option. Hopefully the amount of people responding to this feed will encourage a faster resolution.
I can't believe Quickbooks has not added this feature after original post in December 2018. It has been 15 months and Quickbooks don't care as they are grabbing money. Just think about the number of times they have increased their prices? and we are still waiting for a very important feature.
I appreciate your tine joining us here in the Community, @QUICK-IS-SLOW.
I can see the convenience of being able to process bills through the QBO mobile app. I like to let you know that our engineers are always putting the feedbacks received into consideration to improve the product and make it work the way your business needs.
I'll do my part and personally submit this request to them, so they can assess the suggestion and evaluate it.

Welcome to the Community, Bcbobcat22.
Feedback has been submitted to our product development team about the ability to enter and mark bills as paid in the QuickBooks Online mobile app. When information like this is sent to our engineers, it's done as a recommendation. It will be considered for future updates, but there's no guarantee it will be built into the application.
It's entirely possible you could see this surface one day. Definitely keep an eye out for any changes in-product. Also check frequently with our compare mobile app features article. This resource details all functions available in QBOM, so it will be one of the best spots to look for updates about new additions.
Remember too that as a work around you can always sign into QBO through a web browser for access to some features that aren't available in the mobile version.
