Vendor ACH Payments

We have one entity on QB, but it's small and we haven't used the ACH payment feature. We need to replace the accounting software we use for another entity. We are considering QB, but we need to keep costs down while using as much automation as we can. We really need to be able to process emailed remittances from our system and also NACHA files. I'm not sure I can sell upper management on the idea of using one of the payments apps. If we have to pay for the app and $10.00 to our bank for each batch of ACH payments that would be cost prohibitive.

For those using bill.com and melio, etc what is the cost per payment or weekly batch?

You may have 2 options to accept ACH payment for free. One of them offer an instant deposit service with 1% fee and max $20/transaction. You can also utilize them to pay bills for free and only pay the fee with credit cards.

Should you need more features, Billcom is another option and not free.

If you have to open a new QB Online account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 3 months. If you purchase from the Trial account, you have to pay the regular rate.

Thanks for checking with us and providing in-depth details of your payments concern, @SBR_101.

QuickBooks Online doesn't create NACHA  files that can be uploaded to your bank. You can create the data using Excel and save it as a CSV file.

You can also look through our third-party app that offers similar features via QuickBooks Apps Center.

You can learn more information about the cost per payment in this article:

To clarify I am asking how others are finding the use and cost of using bill pay apps. Also this is not about accepting ACH payments.
