view & pay invoice error

My client clicked the "View & Pay Invoice" button at the bottom of the QB generated email, and was greeted with what looks like encoded text.

I tried and did NOT see the same thing she saw.  Browser was MS Explorer or MS Edge.  Screenshot attached.

Thanks.

view & pay invoice error

Hello there, @CCGIO.

We can perform some troubleshooting steps that will help fix the issue.

Since we are using a web browser for our email account, it could be the temporary internet file in browser cache that causes this unexpected behavior.

The first thing that we can do is to access your email account in a private/incognito browser. Please check out the shortcut keys that I've listed below.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + NSafari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P

Then, view the invoice that you receive again. If it's working well, I suggest go back to your regular browser and clear the cached to delete stored site data and improve the system performance.

If the issue persists, I advised getting in touch with our Technical Support Team. This way, they can do screen-sharing and navigate the steps using one of their tools.

To reach them, here’s how.

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Type in "Export data file from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks for Mac" and click
  5. Choose either Start a chat or Get a callback.

If you need tips or additional reading, you can use this handy article as a guideline in QuickBooks. Help articles.

Let me know if you have other questions. I'll be around to help. Have a good one.

Client was able to solve the problem on her own by simply using a different browser.

Amazing how many issues can be solved just by clearing the cache!

Thanks for the solution.  I will save it in case the issue comes up again.
