What happens to invoices when a product/service is edited or inactivated?

Hi - I am cleaning up my products/services and I want to know if the customer will end up seeing their invoice change if the name, description or category of the product services changes. I have already seen that the invoice in quickbooks updates with the new name and category (the descriptions don't update because we have already manually types our own descriptions into the invoices) - its fine for me if the invoice that I see from my view in quickbooks changes with the updates, but does the customer emailed invoice change as well? Are they getting stationary PDFs for invoices or are they getting dynamic web based invoices?

Let me give information on what happens on the emailed invoices when you edit the product and services.

 

If you're using online invoicing, your customer will be able to see the updated product and services once they open the emailed invoice. But there's no notification.
