Why the deposit takes so long

Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, jose0717.

QuickBooks Payments combines all of your payments into a single batch and deposits the total into the direct deposit account you entered. Deposit speeds vary based on which product you use to process payments and the type of payment.

Your first set of payments, will be deposited within 5 business days. These early deposits take a bit longer while the account is set up. After everything's finished, you'll receive your funds faster.

Prerequisites:

  • If you process payments in QuickBooks, you can check the deposit status of processed payments while using QuickBooks. You can also check in the Merchant Service Center.
  • In the event you manually entered an ACH payment, there may be a delay due to extra security checks. Collecting ACH payments from Pay-enabled invoices can help reduce payment processing risks.
  • Credit card payments have their own deposit schedule. If you process a credit card before 3 PM PT, Intuit deposits it into your bank account on the next business day. In the event you process a card payment after 3PM PT, it will be deposited within 2 business days.

Here's how to check your deposit speed:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Account and settings.
  2. Access your Payments tab.
  3. Review the Deposit Speed section.

You can learn more about payment deposit schedules in our Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits payments article.

If you've noticed a recent payment you accepted is on hold, this doesn't mean there's anything wrong. Intuit may put payments on hold to confirm the interests of all parties involved are protected. You can learn more about held funds by reviewing our Learn about funds on hold article.

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Monday!
