Work around to retrieve payroll tax ayment history

So payroll suport for QB17 is d/c'd; my bookeeper quit and I need to retrieve all input data re: payroll tax reports filed and tax payments/deposits made? any suggested work arounds, or where else she may have record of this data?:  Thanks a quadrillion!

Work around to retrieve payroll tax ayment history

There are two options on how you can get the data that you need, Alibi13us.


If the taxes were paid online, you can log in to your account in the EFPTS website to get the tax payment history. You can also reach out to them to get more details about this. Here's the link:


With regards to the tax filings, I'd suggest reaching out to the IRS and ask for the list of tax forms that are filed. 


If you don't have access to the EFTPS website, you'll need to ask for a backup copy of the company file from your accountant. Then, restore it in a trial version of QuickBooks so you can run a payroll tax report. You can follow the steps in these articles if you're able to get a copy:


Once restored, follow these steps to get the tax payment report:


  1. Go to the Employees menu and select Payroll Center.
  2. Proceed to the Pay Liabilities tab.
  3. Scroll-down all the way to the bottom part of the page and click Payroll Liability Accruals and Payments
