You may notice a couple of new things in your QuickBooks. But it’s more than your average update--your QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced is now QuickBooks Online Core. And with the new name, you also get a couple of new powerful features.
Here are a few things to check out.
Compare and set up health benefits for your team
You can get health benefits for your team and have the deductions automatically added at payroll. You can compare benefit plans and choose one based on what’s important for you. Once you’ve chosen a plan, you’ll fill in a 1-page application, invite your employees to enroll, and upload a few company documents. We will show you how to find those documents in the enrollment process.
Enroll in automated tax filing
You now have access to automated tax and form filing. If you're enrolled in electronic services, we’ll pay and file your taxes. Meaning, you don’t need to do anything to file your taxes. We’ll make sure they’re processed on time.
If your're not yet enrolled in automated tax and form filing, here's how can turn this feature on:
- Go to Settings ⚙ and select Payroll Settings.
- Select Taxes and Form.
Get your HR questions answered
With the QuickBooks HR support center, you’ll find guides for hiring and onboarding, termination and onboarding template letters, sample job descriptions, and information on federal and state tax laws
Set up your Auto Payroll
If your company only has salaried employees on direct deposit, you can run payroll automatically without you even logging in. Once you set up your Auto Payroll, you’ll be able to approve and, if needed, update your paychecks before they’re sent.
