Can't get time sheets to sync with QuickBooks Desktop 2021

I recently upgraded to QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021. Before this, I had no problems syncing our time sheets from QuickBooks Time to our QB Desktop file. Now, it is not syncing the timesheets, and I am following the steps it suggests (using the Web Connector). Any ideas how to help?

Thanks for dropping into the Community for help getting your QuickBooks Time and QBDT to sync. I appreciate you taking the time to reach out.

 

I did some checking and it looks like there was a successful sync today. Are you receiving a specific error message?

It does look like there were some export errors due to a couple of employees needing to have time off mapped in the payroll item mapping tool.

Can't get time sheets to sync with QuickBooks Desktop 2021

I ended up figuring out what was wrong. Somehow, in the QuickBooks Time settings, the box had been unchecked for 'Sync Approved TimeSheets'. All is good. Thanks for the response!

Can't get time sheets to sync with QuickBooks Desktop 2021

Each time I try to sync Timesheets with our QB Desktop premier version 2022 the QB files hangs and i have to kill the process.  I have tried calling 

1) QB desktop support for help.  it is very difficult to reach them with the new contact us.  no phone no. and second they keep pointing to speak with QB tsheets support and payroll stating they do not have capability to help with this issue 

2) Tsheets support person was not able to fix it.  they said it was a QB file issue and not a tsheets issue.  all setting are ok 

3) Payroll support point to tsheets online 

 

I am getting a major run around from QB support (not sure why i pay the subscription fee for 24/7 support as I can only reach them during business hrs only).  last payroll we had to manually enter time for each employee.  i have the same issue this week   We are also having similar hangup issues when we try to get bank feeds or trying to reconcile the bank statements.  QB desktop hangs for a long time.  It seems there is a process that takes a long time to process and eventually times out to allow the user to us the quickbooks.

To avoid any unusual desktop behavior, ensure to keep your program up-to-date so that you have access to the most recent features and fixes. You can do that by making sure you have the updated release version of QuickBooks Desktop.

 

After that, run the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This helps fix common problems and errors.

 

Once done and you're still getting the same issue, I recommend contacting our Customer Support team. They're able to look into this further and give you the finest answer to your concern.

 

Here's how to contact support:

  1. Access QuickBooks.
  2. Click on Help, then choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click on Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief description of your issue, then choose Let's talk, and then select a way to connect.

I have already gone through these steps independently and with a customer service rep using toolHub to fix file errors.  no errors found after multiple tries.  I have seen this response before and have been thru it with no luck. I cannot seem to be able to connect with the support personnel as they are either not available when I am available and each time I have spent time with them, it is at least 2 to 4 hrs of my time with no result.

We want to make sure this is taken care of by the correct department. While the steps provided by my colleagues didn't remove the problem, I would also suggest reaching out to our Customer Support team. They can check your account and provide additional troubleshooting steps or get this escalated for a fix. 

  

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to Help and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Press the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
  4. Hit Search then scroll down to get your contact options.
