Exporting TSheets Custom Fields to QBO for Invoicing

I've built custom fields into TSheets that I need to export to QBO for invoicing (e.g., apartment suite #). Is there a way to pull that information over when I'm approving time to help with invoicing in QBO? Currently, the system only  merges QBO defined categories (e.g., customer). When I try to invoice, the approved time shows up, but not the apartment suite #, unless I'm missing something obvious. Any help is appreciated.

Exporting TSheets Custom Fields to QBO for Invoicing

Hi there @sakrdive! Welcome to the community! This is a great question. Custom fields are excellent for reporting within TSheets, but at this time there are a set few that come over to QuickBooks. A few options may work for you in this case:

1) Instead of using a Custom Field for each Apt or Suite, add them as sub-customers. As sub-customers, they can be managed and invoiced individually in QuickBooks.

2) The other custom field that imports to QuickBooks is Class. This versatile field can be used as necessary for your company and could be used for Apt/Suite/etc.

Would either of these solutions work for you? Let me know. I'm happy to explore other solutions if need be.

Thanks for the suggestions, Ami. Unfortunately the sub-customer option won't work just because of the large numbers we're dealing with. I'll look into using Class instead. This would be a great design change for future iterations of TSheets. Thanks again.

Hi Amy,

Would you know if we can import the transactions location from Tsheet to QBO?

Hey @Crissy, thanks for reaching out to us here at The Community, my name is Sherissa and I am more than happy to assist you.

I do need a little clarification though so we can troubleshoot further - when you say "transactions location" are you talking about the location of the Customer/Job?

If that is the case, we don't export location info from TSheets to QuickBooks, the address CAN come over from QuickBooks into TSheets though!

Let me know if this helps - if it doesn't let me know how I can further assist you!

Why would you not export location to QuickBooks? Is it possible to pass it as a class?
