The payroll report that used to print on 10-11 pages is now printing on 21 pages. Has anyone noticed a difference in the font of this report?
Hi @Cjchesl , thank you have posted in quickbooks community.
Maybe you could try going into the report and selecting the Gear Icon within the reports page and un-ticking Compact. If that doesn't work you can try exporting the data to Excel then printing, you can also email the data to yourself and try printing it off that way as well, a few things to try.
nice to assist you.
Hi there @Cjchesl!
This certainly doesn't sound ideal, and we don't want to be wasting your time and paper! At this time, I'm unaware of any changes made in TSheets that would result in larger font sizes for printouts. To make sure I understand, are you printing via the Print button directly on the Payroll Report page? One possible workaround would be to adjust the scale of your printout via the Options in the Print Dialog.
In the meantime, I will make sure our team is made aware of your feedback so they can investigate further. Let me know if that workaround works for you for now! If not, feel free to follow up here and we can explore other options. Have a great rest of your day!
Yes, I have, my PDF report is usually 70 pages and now it is well over 120. It is ridiculous! I have had my IT people try to fix it but there are no settings to adjust. I hope QBTime gets this fixed or I will start to look for other time keeping forums. UGH!
I suggest you look into this because I don't want my 70 page report to be over 120 pages. The PDF report has changed to a larger font and it needs to be switched back. This is under the payroll Report and the Open as PDF. My 73 page report is now 103 pages. Please look into this.
Good morning, @HLH! Thank you for bringing this to our attention again. I definitely want to help get this solved for anyone experiencing this.
Can you tell me what browser you're using? I'm also wondering if you could 1) open up a different browser and try 'Open As PDF' and see if it has the enlarged font too and 2) clear cache and cookies. I know browser troubleshooting can be tedious, but it really helps us with determining the issue.
I appreciate you taking the time to try that out. Please reply to this post and let me know what you find!
Thanks for your prompt response @HLH! I appreciate you trying those steps and letting us know how it went.
I talked with our team and the times that they've seen this it has been because of the PDF viewer used to open that report. If you have another PDF program on your computer, let's have you try opening in that one and see if the report does the same thing. Since there aren't any filter options that include font size in QuickBooks Time, it's hard to determine where that would be coming from on that end.
As always, you can reach out to one of our phone support agents so they can do a screenshare with you and see what you're experiencing. You can call them at 888-836-2730. Here are our support hours and information: Contact QuickBooks Time Support.
I know contacting support isn't always ideal, but they do have the tools to look at this with you and, if needed, get screenshots and escalate it to the right people.
Feel free to reply to this post with any helpful updates. We're eager for this to get fixed for you!
We are having the same issue. Tried to print the payroll reports today and the font is huge. A normal 2-page weekly report of an employee is now 3-4 pages. We print ALL timesheets for processing so this does not work for our business. Hopefully someone can help with this and switch it back to the way it was last week.
Good morning, @nhdesign.
I'm happy to provide some clarification here for you! This is strange, but there haven't been any changes to font sizes within our reporting. Most likely, what you're seeing is your web browser zoomed in/out.
To zoom in on any web browser, hold CTRL and press the + or - key.
This should clear this up for you! If you continue to experience issues, if you can provide screenshots of what you're seeing, we can troubleshoot further. Have a fantastic rest of your day and week!
It is not a web browser zoom issue. It is a report spacing issue. My 73 page pdf payroll report is now a 103 page pdf report. Something changed within your program. This is the report I am running:
Reports - Payroll Reports - by pay period - decimal/last name/hide zero hours - Run Report - Open as PDF
I'm glad to hear back from you, @HLH.
I noticed earlier in the thread my colleague, @K_Siman suggested utilizing another PDF reader. Were you able to give this a try? We'll want you to try this to see if the spacing issue is resolved.
If you have tried this and the results are not what you were looking for, you may need to contact support and show them a previous Payroll Report PDF with the original spacing, so we can determine if the newer spacing/font sizes are intended or not!
As a reminder, you can reach out to one of our phone support agents so they can do a screenshare with you and see what you're experiencing. You can call them at 888-836-2730. Here are our support hours and information: Contact QuickBooks Time Support.
I'm here for any remaining questions you may have. Take care!
Thanks for the update @HLH.
Since you have tried multiple PDF readers and are still experiencing the same results, I recommend reaching out to our support team. You can call them at 888-836-2730. Here are our support hours and information: Contact QuickBooks Time Support.
Let me know if you have any additional questions. I’d be happy to help any time.
This is not a web browser issue as when I zoom in/out using CTRL and +/-, it just makes the page smaller or larger, NOT the font. This is something that has happened within the program as everything worked properly up until about a week ago. :(
Thank you for coming back, @nhdesign, and trying different troubleshooting steps. It definitely sounds like support needs to be made aware of this issue and take a look. They're also the ones able to escalate if needed.
You can call 888-836-2720 to speak to an agent. Here's a link with support hours and other information: Contact QuickBooks Time Support.
Again, thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm confident one of our agents will help get this where it needs to be! And of course, feel free to reply to this post with any questions or updates.
First, I am glad to hear that this larger font issue is happening to other customers, I always hate being the only one things like this happen to - last week, I scanned in a good copy of my payroll report and the enlarged font of my payroll report and was about to contact TSheets Support, but decided to check one last time and the report printed to screen properly - so I figured this issue had been corrected. This morning, I go to print my payroll reports and the same issue, when I finish my payroll this morning - I will contact support and supply you with "good & bad" reports so you can see exactly what the issue is. Thank you!
Same exact thing is happening to me - it is really annoying going to printing double the number of pages - a waste of paper. Definitely a Thseets problem - they must have updated something in their system. This needs fixing.
Yes, I'm experiencing the same thing. Each week, I print the Payroll Report for each employee to make them review and sign. Until 2 weeks ago, each employee time card would print on a single page. Now, some are taking 2 pages. The font size has definitely change.
To show the difference in Font Size, I've attached a PDF Sample Payroll Report for the same employee's time card. Page 1 is from one year ago and Page 2 & 3 are this past week. You can see all of the columns are larger and push the info on to a 2nd page.
I remember this same thing occurred about a year ago. It only lasted about 1 week and the report went back to the smaller font.
Good morning, @Tyler-Rein! Thank you for coming to the Community and joining this discussion. It's really helpful for us to understand the scope of the issue for our customers.
It looks like some people have reached out to support already and they're now researching this. It's really important to get account information and track troubleshooting that has already been done.
I encourage you to reach out to our team at 888-836-2720 and tell them you believe your account has been affected by INV-00244. They'll be able to grab all the information they need to add you to this investigation so you'll receive updates as it's researched.
Thank you for all of your patience. We're working diligently to get this fixed!
I'm having the same issue, and it definitely isn't a browser issue. The font is huge now and it takes double the amount of pages to print. They need to fix this or give us the ability to change report font sizes ourselves.
Contacted Support with NO resolution. They are apparently aware of the "new" font size and apparently changed it on purpose (for some awful reason). The Rep told me that the ONLY thing I could do is to "make a suggestion" to their technical team and they will look at it. This is horrible! They just went up on all the prices and then they do this? I may be looking into another timesheet app/service because this does not work for our business (not sure what business it would work for.) My apologies, but we are very frustrated at the moment as the font size should really be up to the user. Thank you for your help.
Yes! and I hate it. I uses too much paper and almost too hard to look at the font is so big. Is there anyway a person can change the font? Or is this something Quickbooks has to do from their side?
