QuickBooks Time doesn't have a built-in feature to prevent employees from clocking in more than a specific number of minutes before their scheduled shift. The time entry restrictions are focused on location-based geofencing, mobile access controls, and required fields; they don't include a time-based early clock-in prevention mechanism.
However, we can create a shift to ensure employees can only clock in within a specific window of their scheduled shift.
Here's how:
- In QuickBooks Time, navigate to the Schedule view.
- Click inside a cell on the schedule.
- From the Actions menu, select the Add Shift.
- In the shift editor window, enter optional details, All Day or Repeat settings, including frequency and end date.
- Choose the desired frequency and end date, then click the Publish button once done.
