One of the employees' location is not showing up, even though it's mandatory in the settings and she is still able to stay clocked in.

I'm glad you chose to turn to the Community for support. I want to make sure your employee's location shows up in QuickBooks Time.


According to the Best practices for using the QuickBooks Time mobile apps article, if the location is missing or incorrect:

  • While clocked in, do not force close or sign out of the QuickBooks Time app.
  • Do not put your phone in low battery mode.
  • Do not put your phone in airplane mode.
  • Do not turn off your phone's location services.
    • iOS devices should be set to Location > Always.
    • Android devices should be set to Location High Accuracy.
  • If you use the QuickBooks Time Android app, make sure the Restrict background data setting is turned off.
