Quickbooks time broke my company.
My tsheets timesheet will not sync with quick quickbooks anymore.
Instead the system imported a duplicate identify of me and liked it to my employee account in QB.
However, I cannot log in as this duplicated identity in Quickbooks time. So I'm screwed.
How do I link my master admin account to an employee in quickbooks?
Good afternoon, @justin13! Thanks for coming to the Community again. I'm happy to help you out with this issue.
Just to clarify, you have yourself set up as an employee in QuickBooks Desktop or Online correct? Although your admin profile comes over into QB Time, only employees and vendors are able to export their time back to QuickBooks. You'll want to use that employee profile if you need to export your time.
Let me know if I've totally missed the mark on this, and I'll happily continue to troubleshoot with you!
You said only employees can export time back to quickbooks. This is new. The software change broke my time tracking system. I tracked time the same way for >3 years using TSheets and Quickbooks and then Intuit acquired TSheets and "updated" the software and broke my business.
Tsheets has one job in life --- to accurate track time for individuals. If I switch to an employee account and track time there, you will have invalidated my records. All of my prior tracked time will be lost.
Furthermore, I cannot even log into tsheets with the employee account. That doesn't work. When I try to log in, it says "contact support". Which has burned two days of my time already.
How about you just allow me to link my Master Admin account back to Quickbooks the same was as it was before and I can continue to run my business, instead of breaking the software? The most terrifying words I ever see on the Quickbooks website is that the software was "upgraded".
Good morning, @justin13! Thanks for coming back to the Community and explaining the situation further. Since I don't have any of your company information to see what's going on, look out for a private message from me. I'll get the information I need and touch base with one of our agents to see if we can figure out what needs to be done.
Thanks for your patience!
Was this issue ever solved? We are having the same problems with our account and when we talked to tech support, they just reset all of our tsheets settings. If anyone could reply to let us know how to fix this, that would be awesome
Hello @meganeddings0628! Thanks for coming to this thread with your question and welcome to the Community. I'd be happy to help you out. :)
Can you explain specifically what issue you're experiencing? Do you have a duplicate profile or trouble syncing? Any information you have or screenshots is super helpful to me.
Looking forward to hearing from you and continuing to troubleshoot!
I don't think we're having the duplicate account issue. But we are unable to sync with Quickbooks time. We have tried talking to tech support and they reset all of our settings so we've been trying to figure it out ourselves. My coworker deals with the master account and quickbooks mainly. She said that when she clicks Sync with Quickbooks time, it will take her to the login for quickbooks time, but immediately it will pop up a script error. If she clicks yes or no, it will take her back to the login and she clicks on her account and logs in with her correct information. After she logs in, it will pop up a weird error message that says "Cannot complete integration. Non-QBD flavor 'wc' already installed" I tried to attach photos, but they were too big. Any help would be appreciated
Hello @meganeddings0628! Thanks for coming back with that information. It definitely helps me troubleshoot more accurately and figure out the next steps.
The first thing I'll address is the error message your coworker is getting. This means that the Web Connector version of the integration (which is an older version) is installed in QuickBooks Time. What you'll want to do is log into your QuickBooks Time account as admin and follow these steps:
Then go back to your QuickBooks Desktop account, try to sync, and it'll give you an error. Exit out and go back to Employees>>Enter Time, then you should see Activate TSheets. Follow the steps to set up your Windows Integration.
If the script error continues to give you a problem, and it's not something you're able to bypass, these steps will help. The following steps are done in Internet Explorer, within the environment where you're currently using QuickBooks Desktop:
Looking forward to hearing how these steps worked for you! Don't hesitate to ask any questions you have. :)
