Is anyone else having an issue of Quickbooks Online logging them out of Quickbooks Time? I'm not in Quickbooks Online every day, but I am in Quickbooks Time multiple times every day. I start my day by checking everyone's time from the following day, and so one of the first tabs I have open is QBT, and then if/when needed, I'll open a new tab for QBO to do what I need to do that day. At least once a week, when I open QBO, it will log me out of QBT. Sometimes this will happen as soon as I open the log-in screen for QBO, sometimes it won't happen until I am logged in and it is loading the dashboard. I've even had instances where I do what I need in QBT, sometime later I open QBO, then either have someone come in to ask a question about their time, or I have a thought that sends me to check something in QBT, and QBO will have finished loading, and QBT waits until I've clicked a button to decide to log me out.
I have reached out to QBO, and have been told it was possibly happening when QBO and QBT where both on the same server, and they were looking at a way to solve the issue. But it has been six and a half months, and nothing has changed. I was just wondering if it is annoying anyone else as much as it is annoying me.
Thanks for getting in touch with the Community about this, cayaconstruct.
The reason you're getting signed out of QuickBooks Time is because you're logged into both platforms (QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Online) in the same web browser.
There's a couple solutions to this:
I've additionally included a detailed resource about compatible web browsers that may come in handy moving forward: Which web browsers are compatible with QuickBooks Time?
If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a fantastic day!
Except this adds extra steps every time I need to switch from one to the other, or from which ever one is in the incognito window or the other browser to any other tab I keep open to use throughout the day. My point in posting here was to see if anyone else is having this issue and if it is bothering anyone else. I've gone through all of the "solutions" that make it so that QuickBooks doesn't have to do any work to make their software user friendly for their customers.
Yes, QuickBooks time not only logs me out, (and all my employees) Then QuickBooks Time decides no one has account and wants me to sign up for the free trial. I do not know why on earth intuit could not just leave TSheets alone. TSheets worked great. Every time Intuit touches a program it is all screwed up, never works correctly again. I am so frustrated with QuickBooks time. We have lost two weeks of hourly reporting and I have lost 3 days of work trying to fix it. I think I am going to start looking for another time tracker application.
Hi there, FrustratedWTF.
Thanks for turning to the Community for support. I’m here to lend a hand regarding the issues you’re having with logging into QuickBooks Time.
Just to make sure I’m on the same page, are you being logged out of the web browser or the app? If it is occurring in the app, you'll want to check the location settings on the device and make sure it's set to “always.” Right now you have location set to "required" in Company Settings, but that you can change by going to Company Settings and clicking the Location tab.
Additionally, I was able to see that you have a couple trial accounts associated with your email. I recommend reaching out to a member of the QB Time Support Team to get these removed as they may be interfering with logging into the account you're currently using. Here’s how to get in touch with the team: Contact QuickBooks Time Support
Please feel free to reach back out any time if you have any other questions or concerns. I'm only a comment or post away.
I agree, this is driving me crazy. I log into one, it logs me out of the other and vice versa. I don't want to use another web browser or incognito window as I already have 15+ tabs open at any one time and don't need another window open just for time tracking.
Hey there, @Zoom1.
Thanks for following the thread and sharing your concerns with us.
As of now, that's how the products interact with each other in the same browser. The work around is to use an incognito window or different browser for one of them. If you have the time, we'd love for you to give this feedback to our Product Development Team. You can do this by using the steps included in the link I've shared below.
I hope you have a great rest of your day. Take care!
I just recently merged QB Time and QBO logins. Since then if I am logged into both in the same browser, QBO doesn't work properly. I can't use any of my bank accounts, Suppliers or Customers. If I log out of QB Time it automatically logs me out of QBO. This is getting very frustrating. I know the work around is using an incognito window but you would have thought your team would have this glitch worked out before launching this idea of being able to use one login for all the Intuit products. I was on the phone for an hour trying to sort this out. Please fix it or put it back the way it was.
