Tsheets Employee Hours to Customer Invoice in Quickbooks Online

I'm trying to set up taking employee time from TSheets in to Quickbooks Online to generate customer invoices. I can get the data from TSheets into Quickbooks. I go to Invoicing->Customers and click on a customer. I can see all the time imported from TSheets (as Time Charges) and the total amounts are correct, but listed by individual entry in TSheets. When  I go to create an invoice for it each day and item is a separate invoice (as is it would literally generates 20+ invoices per month).  I'm assuming there is away to group charges by customer in one invoice, but it does not appear to be obvious. 


What am I missing?

You can add multiple billable t-sheets entry in one invoice. Let me show you the steps below:


Here's how:


  1. Go to the + New icon and select Approved time.
  2. View and verify timesheet details.
  3. Export the weekly timesheet.
  4. Accept and create invoice.
  5. Choose customer, then time will be tracked on the right column.
  6. Click Save.

how do you get employee hours that are imported from tsheets to show up as:

regular time


double overtime?


also when using projects, the billable (yes/no) is showing up, but billable rate remains zero (even though it is filled out under employee) and it does not extend to the billable total line.

I'm hoping i am missing something simple!

Hi there @PresElec. Great question! The Payroll Item Mapping tool will be your best friend for this. We have a great article that goes through all of the ways that you can map payroll items. In your case, "By Employee" will allow you to map your regular, overtime and double overtime. Feel free to let me know if you run into any challenges while setting that up. I'm happy to help.

Regarding billable time, the rates for billable time is always associated with the billable rate of the Service Item assigned to each timesheet. If you would like it to match an employee's pay rate, you would need to match the Service Item billable rate in QuickBooks to your employee's pay rate. Let me know if this makes sense. :)
