Tsheets exporting to QB billing

As a ProAdvisor, about 1 year ago, TSheets set me up in my own account to export time to bill to customers. I approve time & export to QB. It comes into QB as "Time Charge" and waits in the sales area to bill to the client. Shows up in when I create an invoice to each individual client just like a billable expense waits to be added to the invoice.

I have a client who wants the same feature of billing to clients. She currently uses TSheets only for Payroll and exports employee time into payroll. We do not want to change or remove that AT ALL. Just add the bill to client feature. (Note: Each customer is in all reports, so it looks like the info is there to manage)

Does anyone know how to do this for my client? I can see differences when comparing my TSheets (Time) to hers but don't know how to do this and keep her TSheets Payroll tracking and export intact.

I spent HOURS on the phone today and was told by Time that it was QB problem 3x and by QB 3x that it was Time I had to speak to. - Total frustration - HELP!

In TSheets (now known as quickbooks time) you can tag time entries as billable in the app, or in the timesheets created in quickbooks. (My reference point is desktop). If this is the owner's time then the owner needs added as a vendor in QB, and set up to use time sheet entry, just as you would for an employee.

I believe it takes marking a vendor as 1099 eligible for them to appear in the TSheets team. Then it is a matter of adding time in TSheets and check it as billable to the Customer:Job selected as location.

Once you have billable time synced or regular time marked billable in QB creating an invoice will prompt to add time and other billable costs.

I use the above procedures for both employees and vendors.  In fact you can invite your vendors to join your TSheets and directly enter their time

Tsheets exporting to QB billing

Good morning, @Michelle_ProAdv

It's great to see you back in the Community. Allow me to chime in and give you some info.

Yes, @john-pero is correct with all of the details he gave. Marking timesheets as billable, and including a customer and service item should get those timesheets where they need to be for invoices. Also, this won't affect the payroll.

I hope this helps. It's my priority that all of your concerns are taken care of today. I'm only a few clicks away if you need me. Bye for now!
