I have used TSheets for several years. I used to log in once, and if I checked the "Keep me signed in" box, it would keep me logged in for a very long time (weeks). Since early this year, TSheets logs me out every time I close my browser. (Similar to the problem described here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/tsheets/tsheets-keeps-signing-me-out-won-t-let-me-... )
To be clear: I am using TSheets in Safari. I have updated to the latest version of Safari (14.0). I have tried clearing cookies, clearing my cache and clearing history. After I do that, it keeps me logged in for a few hours or a day, but by the next day at the latest, I have been logged out again. I reported this problem a few months ago via chat, and was told nothing had changed. I thought if I waited a few weeks, it would probably clear itself up, but it had not. I am the TSheets admin, and none of my other users seem to be having this issue, so it must be something particular to my system... but I cannot figure it out!
This is obviously not a huge deal... I just log in again, but 2 of 3 times, I also have to prove I am not a robot, etc., so it does get annoying.
I also have this problem with the Submit Time button, where it asks if I want to remember my selection. It has NEVER remembered my selection!
Hello @VTDavid, so happy to see you here in the Community! Thank you for all the information. It helps paint a picture of the issue you are experiencing. With new security protocols, there will be more re-captcha and proving you are not a robot, but it should not be happening this often at all.
You mentioned being on the most updated version of Safari, clearing cache and cookies, and your history; all of these steps we recommend as general troubleshooting so it is great you have already done those. One thing we also have our customers try is using a completely different browser (we typically recommend Chrome). Since each one has its own environment, it is helpful for me to know if the issue can be replicated regardless of the browser.
If it still happens in Chrome, can we also try opening an incognito window? That's another way of disregarding cache and cookies and settings within that browser. Just go to the 3 dots (menu) in Chrome>> New Incognito Window.
Looking forward to hearing from you @VTDavid and eager to get this figured out:)
Hi Kiala. After trying Chrome all day, I can report that if I log into TSheets with Chrome, quit the browser, then reopen it, I am still logged in. When I do the same thing with Safari, I am logged out. So that was a good test!
I reinstalled MacOS today, just to make sure I had a good install of Safari, and it made no difference.
So for now, I can just log in every time, or use Chrome for TSheets, but if you do find a solution for this, I'd appreciate it.
Good day to you, @David.
