Uppaid time off

We grant our employees the ability to take time off without pay after they have used up their alloted vacation.  My question is how can they send in a unpaid time off request.

Happy Monday! I hope your week is starting off nicely. I’m sure your employees appreciate being able to take off the time they need, even when they have used all of their PTO. I’d be happy to help get an unpaid Time-Off code set up for you.


To set up a new code:


  1. Go to Feature Add-ons > Time Off Codes. The Time Off Codes window displays.
  2. Select Add New.
  3. Enter the name of the Time Off code and choose whether it is a Paid or Unpaid code.
  4. To assign the code to team members, select Assign to Individuals or Groups. Make your selections and select Save.


Once the new code is set up, your team will simply use it request any unpaid time. Here’s how:


Add or request time off-

  1. Tap Time Off or More > Time Off.
  2. Tap the plus icon.
  3. Choose a time off type.
  4. Tap Add Day to add an entry. The app adds an 8-hour entry for the current day.
  5. If you want to change the date and/or number of hours, tap the entry, and make the adjustments.
  6. (Optional) Add a note.
  7. Tap SAVE.

Note: if time off requests are enabled, an administrator will need to approve or deny the time off request.
