401K QuickBooks Generation Report

Hello there, OlenaReal.

Thanks for checking in with us. I appreciate the screenshot and details you provided.

Currently, QuickBooks Desktop doesn't have a specific report that shows all the details you specifically need for a 401K report. For those information that are not in the report, you'll want to manually enter them from the excel report.

Just in case you need a reference on how to run the 401K Report in QuickBooks, here are the steps below:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Click Employees & Payroll.
  3. Click More Payroll Reports in Excel.
  4. Choose 401(k) Reports.

Let me know if you have follow-up questions about this and I'd be glad to clear things up for you.

401K QuickBooks Generation Report

I've just upgraded to Desktop Enterprise Solutions 20 and can no longer find the 401k report that I used to use for payroll info and for census info. Where did it go?

Hello, @tsandrof.

You can run and customize the Deferred Compensation Report 401(k) and the 401(k) Reports.

Here's how::

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Employees & Payroll.
  3. Click More Payroll Reports in Excel.
  4. Choose 401(k) Reports
  5. Select the Report Type (Census or Payroll) you want and click Create Report.

Once completed, it will open an Excel file with the data you want to display. If the 401(k) Report option is not available, I'd recommend updating your QuickBooks release and the payroll tax table versions.
