I noticed with the first quarter 2020, the 941 report that was generated through my clients Quickbook desktop version 2019, shows the number of employees incorrect, however, the amounts that were populated for the wages and federal income tax withheld was accurate for the 9 employees. We had 9 employees, but only 7 populated. Prior quarters reporting was accurate. Any thoughts?
The number you are referring to is specific fro Q1 to March 12, 2020 and for whatever reason it thinks you only had 7 instead of 9 paychecks for the payroll period including 3/12. Any possibility that 2 employees were paid in a non-scheduled payroll run? That would do it for certain.
