A report for tracking sales by sales person to pay commission

In my old version of QB, I had customers assigned to a sales person in customer information. All sales for one customer went to the assigned sales person. When I asked for help to set this up in online line QB, I was told the only way is to set up locations. Then for every invoice I enter I need to select which sales person that customer belong to. I've only have had QB online for one month and I have already spent too much time making sure everyone is getting the correct commission.

Currently, QuickBooks Online doesn't have a feature to calculate sales commissions. However, Locations and Classes allow you to keep track of the sales commissions. You can use this link to see the details: Track sales commissions in QuickBooks Online.

With that said, we have sales reports that you can pull up associating the locations or classes. Here are the common reports that we have for locations:

Profit and Loss by Location
Sales by Location Detail
Sales by Location Summary
