Accidentally made a vendor inactive not realizing vendor had old transx in prior yrs. Current bank rec out of balance.How to activate vendor

You should be able to just click where you made him inactive to make him active again.

I agree with Teri. You can also follow these steps on how to turn them active again:

1. Go to the Expenses menu and select Vendors.
2. Above the Action column, click the Gear icon, then check the Include inactive.
3. Select the checkbox to the left, then select Batch actions.
4. Choose the Make active.

In addition, QuickBooks Online creates a transaction to offset the remaining vendor's balance. You can delete it after you make the vendor active.

1. From the vendor's profile, go to the Transaction List tab.
2. Locate the offset transaction. It has a "Created by QB Online" memo on it.
3. Under the Action column, select Delete.
