Run, customise and download reports in QuickBooks Online Accountant

QuickBooks Online Accountant provides several reports. Learn how to run, customise, download, and manage your reports.
Access and run a report
- Follow this link to complete the steps in product
- Select the Reports tab.
- Use the Find report by name search bar or browse the list.
- Select the report to open it.
- Select Run report.
Download or export reports and charts
You can download or export a report to a PDF or Excel file.
Export a report
- Open the report you want to download.
- Select the export icon.
- Select either Export to Excel or Export to PDF.
Download a performance chart
- Select the Performance charts tab.
- Find the chart you want to download and select more options ... .
- Select Export chart to download the PDF file.
Customise reports
Focus on the details that matter most by customising your reports.
Access your saved custom reports
To find reports you have already customised, go to Reports and then select Custom reports.
Create and save a new custom report
- Follow this link to complete the steps in product
- Find and select the report you want to customise to open it.
- Select Customise. (Customisation options depend on the report you choose.)
- After you make the changes, select Run report to see a preview.
- To save the report, select Save customisation.
- Enter a name for your customised report. The report will not save without a name.
- Add the report to a group.
- (Optional) To share the report structure (not financial data) with your staff, tick Share reports with community.
- Select Save.
Use reports to find discrepancies
To help you reconcile discrepancies, use the Adjusting Journal Entries and Adjusted Trial Balance reports. These reports help you:
- Summarise debit and credit balances.
- See adjustments made within the Trial Balance sheet.
- See any adjustment journal entries for each account during a specific time.
Most reports include links within the values that let you drill down for further investigation.
The Reconciliation Report also helps with analysis by letting you explore figures for any uncleared deposits or credits.
Access report tools
Report tools show a reconciliation status as of the closing date for the books.
- Select Accountant Tools.
- Within Tools, select Report options.
