Thanks for sharing your concern with us, Goodbye1.
If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), there's no need to send your accountant a copy of your file. Instead, you'll want to add your accountant as an Accountant User in your QBO account. This allows them to go in and do the tasks they need to anytime without dealing with file transfers and Accountant Copies.
To add or invite an accountant user:
- Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar, then Manage Users.
- Select the Accountants tab.
- Invite your accountant.
- If this is your first time adding an accountant, enter your accountant's email, and select Invite.
- If you've added an accountant already, select Invite accountant. Then enter the accountant's name and email address. Select Save.
To give you more information about transferring the accountant files, here's an article made handy for you: Accountant's File Transfer Service.
If you don't want to add them as one of the authorized users of your account, you can export your QBO data and save it on the flash drive. From there, you can manually send them to your accountant.

Your accountant will receive an email invitation with instructions for signing into your company.
