add excel file to an estimate

You can attach Excel files (.xls, .xlm, .xlsx) to your forms, depending on the file extension. What is the exact Excel file extension name that you need to attach? Knowing this would help us find out the cause of the issue.

In the meantime, please check this list of acceptable files that you can attach in QuickBooks Online (QBO):

• PDF
• JPEG
• PNG
• DOC
• XLSX
• CSV
• TIFF

• XML

Alternatively, you can double-check the Excel File name to make sure there is no space before the extension. The file name should look like this "filename.xlsx". Then add the attachment once more.

Here's how:

1. Find and open the desired estimate.
2. From the bottom left, select Attachments.
3. Browse and select the document you want to attach.
4. Select Open, then Save and close.

This still isn't working.  Its only when I'm using my Mac and creating the spreadsheet in the "Excel:Mac from 2011"

What can be done?  Its very inconvenient to have to save each of my files to a PDF in order for it to be attached
