I'm here to share details about handing report information in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Lenaohxo.
The order of accounts on the Transaction Detail by Account report is based on your Chart of Accounts (COA) list. You can sort them based on your preferred view through the Re-sorting process. Let me guide you how.
- Go to the List menu.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- Go to the Account drop-down.
- Choose the Re-sort List option.
I've attached a screenshot below for your reference.
Once done, pull up the Transaction Detail by Account report again to see the update. Then, you can customize the report so you're able to get the specific information you want.
