Hello there, @imhere2day.
Currently, we're unable to change the verbiage of your emailed invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I know how important this feature would be for you. Your voice matters, and we appreciate your time providing us this feedback.
In the meantime, I encourage checking our QuickBooks Blog from time to time to stay current with the latest feature available in QBO.

This does not address my question at all... I am looking for the invoice to be online, as it is, through clicking the button in the email. I am, however, wanting to edit what the button in the email says. For 80% of our customers, it is not intuitive how to find the invoice. Quickbooks does not make it jump out at you. In today's era, few people read any more.
Hi thank you for your reply. This, however, does not address my need. I am looking to edit the button text in the email generated for online invoicing. I am not looking to remove the online invoice. If I switch to plain text, as you've suggested, that does not leave it as an online invoice. I am trying to edit the text of the button because in today's world few people actually read anything; it needs to read as something more intuitive or suggestive of where to find one's invoice. For about 80% of our customers, it is not intuitive where to find their detailed invoice and I have to entertain their phone calls to walk them through it after they've gotten the email that for them is only their total with no detailed invoice available. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated! (For example, the email that goes out now with the balance now says Print or Save, it used to say Pay Now. I see no where to edit this verbiage. )
I appreciate for getting back to us and providing details to your emailed invoice concerns, imhere2day.
Changing the verbiage of your emailed invoices is a great idea. For now, the ability to do so is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. Your voice matters and I appreciate your time providing us this feedback. We'll take this as a product a suggestion. Product updates and changes to QuickBooks are the results of feedback by users.
I would also recommend visiting our QuickBooks blog site regularly. From there, you'll be updated with the features and enhancements that our developers are currently working on.
Keep on posting if you have any other questions or concerns. I'd be glad to assist.
4 years have passed. I see this has yet to be addressed. We recently switched to online, but keep running into these types of roadblocks. The majority of our clients end up calling us as they are confused when reading their emailed estimates/invoices as the clickable button verbiage makes no sense. This should easily be made into an editable field for end users to populate to fit their needs.
Please let me know when this feature is implemented or if there is a work-around.
Good luck! The software engineers don’t follow up on anything, no matter how critical. There’s a huge inventory issue currently and they don’t care. I was told I would get a call back resolution within 48h and nope. I can’t even run my business with the current issue. Has anyone offered a refund of my months fee, nope!
