Backup figures transferred from QuickBooks Desktop 2020 to Mac 2021

We recently purchased a MAC and have exported files from our Desktop PC to the MAC. After importing the backup files to the MAC, I ran reports to ensure figures were correct from the transfer. I have figures that are showing up on the A/R Aging Summary report from the MAC that are not on the A/R Aging Summary report from the old system. How do I remove those items?

I'm here to help share and fix the figures of your report in QuickBooks Desktop, @ArdSL. This way we can determine why your report data is showing incorrectly.

Converting company data from QBDT for Windows to QBDT for Mac start with the backup copy. Good work on checking your reports after successfully importing them from each version of QuickBooks.

Before we start our troubleshooting steps, it's best to download the latest released version of the QBDT you're using to avoid data damage before, during, and after conversion. Use this link to update your software:

Now since you've determined the issue with your A/R report does not match with the old system, we'll have to go back and review the backup company file used for the conversion is the correct one or not.

But if the file is correct and the latest released version is already installed, we'll have to repair your file first and proceed with the conversion. I have an article you can use to learn more about the tool: Resolve Potential Data Issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm also including this reference with the tips and topics you can use while working with your business in a newer version of QuickBooks: Browse all Articles for your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac Product.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance while you using QuickBooks or working with your reports. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Wishing you continued success and stay safe!

No, this did not help. I still have entries that are from 2016 and so forth.

Please advise.

I can send a copy of the report if needed. or if you have a phone number I can call for more support.

Welcome back to QuickBooks Community, @ArdSL.

I appreciate the time and effort you've spent following the steps provided by my colleague. I recommend checking transactions. Possibly, the payments from that time have been unapplied or it might have data damage. You can check those balances if those invoices showing paid but still have the balance shown on the report.

We can use the Verify and Rebuild data tool to remove the damage from the company file. Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu, then hover over Utilities and choose Rebuild Data.
  2. Select OK when on the QuickBooks Information window. Follow the on-screen instructions to save a backup.
  3. Give time for the tool to repair your file.
  4. When the tool finishes, Press OK.
  5. Go to the File menu, then hover over Utilities and pick Verify Data.
  6. The tool will now check for data issues.

However, since you're experiencing the same problem, I suggest reaching out to our customer support team. This way, one of the representatives will be able to help you rectify the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us: Start a chat or Get a callback.
