Balance Sheet Report

Why does the QBO have a range of dates for the Balance Sheet report? It's supposed to be just a moment in time so the beginning date doesn't matter.  This makes comparing two dates that much more difficult. The Desktop version doesn't do this.

Balance Sheet Report

Yes, you're correct. QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) will only show the As of date when running the Balance Sheet report.

However, QuickBooks Online has the option to customize its report period according to the data that you need. You can view this directly in the report window.

This function is also available in QBDT. All you have to do is click Customize Report and filter the date range.
