Hello, chris6.

Let's get your printing issue sorted out.

You may want to check the printer setup in QuickBooks Desktop and make sure the fit report option is not selected.

Here's how:

  1. Click File at the top menu bar.
  2. On the drop-down list, click Printer Setup.
  3. For the Form Name, choose Report.
  4. Under Page Breaks, make sure Fit report to is not selected.
  5. Hit OK.

See some screenshots below.

I have the opposite problem.  My reconcilation detail report is both printing & saving pdf with the balance column on a separate page (it should easily fit on one page).  I have Printer Setup- Reports - Fit to 1 Page selected, it didn't help.  Started happening again after installing Pro 2020 on a new computer.  I remember fixing this problem on a different computer years ago but cannot recall the exact fix (except that it took hours).

Generating the report creates 2 pages instead of one (balance column has its very own page).

Thanks for joining us here, @TaxCatSC.

I'm here to help you print your reconciliation report on one page.

One possible cause the report prints in two pages could be the margins are set too narrow for your printer. We'll have to increase its size to fit the balance column.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu and then select Printer Setup.
  2. Choose Report, then click the Margin tab.
  3. Enter 1.00 for the sizes.
  4. Once done, click on OK.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you with customizing reports in QuickBooks. This way, the reports will fit your style and business needs: Set Report Preferences.

You may also want to consider memorizing your reports in QuickBooks. This helps you save the current customized settings to be available for future use.

I'm always here to help. Your success in printing reports is our top priority.
