I am at a loss with this issue. We converted to QB online from another accounting program. The reconciled status did not transfer, so I went through and marked everything that had been reconciled with the old program. The first month I tried doing a bank rec, the amount was off, so I made a journal entry to allow for it. The next month, it was off by a larger amount, so I had our accountant delete the previous bank rec and went back for the last two years with the statements, reconciling each month, just to make sure it was all correct. Today I sat down to reconcile the bank statement, entered the beginning balance, marked everything that had cleared. So far, so good, except the ending balance matches with the bank statement, but Quickbooks says I am off by $1368.88 (A missing deposit?) I have re-checked the cleared and reconciled items, and gone through the audit log, looking for anything that might cause the issue, but have come up empty-handed.
This is the same issue I was having before I went back and reconciled the bank account from the beginning.
I don't want to do a JE again, because I am concerned that the underlying issue will reappear.
