Billing data-field in invoice must match what's on customer profile. This was a recent change in your software and is complicating many of the invoices we send.
Often times we are billing to one address and shipping to a different location for a client on each order. If the shipping address does not match the customer profile, the invoice or estimate will not be able to be saved.

I've replicated this in my end and I was able to save invoices and estimates that have different shipping address from the customer's profile, benjamin2.
The behavior you've experienced is probably a browser-related issue.
Cache and cookies make the browser easier and faster to use. However, too much of these may affect the browsing performance.
You can log in using a private window and perform the task there. This browser doesn't store files in the cache storage. If you're able to save invoices and estimates, go back to your original browser and clear the cache. This would clear out internet files that might be causing the issue.
Also, you can use a different browser and do the task there.
